"Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.: A Guide"

By AuroraMar 29,2025

*R.E.P.O.* is a thrilling cooperative horror game that lets up to six players dive into different maps to locate and extract valuables. To ensure that your efforts in this physics-based retrieval game don’t go to waste, it's crucial to understand how to save your game effectively.

How To Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.

One of the most frustrating experiences for gamers is expecting to resume from their latest save, only to find that their progress hasn’t been preserved. This issue is particularly common with new releases. Not every game features autosave, and some require specific actions or locations to be reached before you can safely pause your game. Sometimes, the tutorial on saving might be easily overlooked, or the process might not be clearly explained from the start.

In *R.E.P.O.*, it's vital to remember that the game autosaves only upon completing a level. There's no option for manual saving, so if you exit during a retrieval mission or die (which sends you to the Disposal Arena), your progress will be lost, and you'll need to start that level over. Once you die in *R.E.P.O.*, your save file is deleted, and exiting in the middle of a location means returning to the start of that level.

To save your game, you must successfully complete a level or location. After securing your valuables, head to the Extraction Point, enter the truck, and press the message button above your head to signal your AI boss, the Taxman, that you're ready to move to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can shop as needed and then use the same button to proceed to the next level.

Once you leave the Service Station and arrive at your next location, it's safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game. When you or the host (if another player created the original save file) next opens the game, you can resume *R.E.P.O.* as usual. It's important to note that the game's host is responsible for exiting at the correct time to ensure the game saves properly. When the host quits, all other players will be disconnected.

Now that you're equipped with the knowledge to save your game in *R.E.P.O.*, explore our other guides to enhance your gameplay and ensure successful missions with your team.
