Riot Games still wants its MMO, but it is not even close to the finish

Riot Games' co-founder, Marc Merrill, recently shared his vision for the future at the DICE Summit. A key focus is the development of a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game situated within the rich worlds of League of Legends and Arcane.

Merrill acknowledged the significant time commitment this MMO demands, highlighting his personal passion for the genre as a crucial element for its potential success. He also emphasized the strong desire among League of Legends players for deeper immersion within their beloved universe.

While specifics regarding the MMO's release remain undisclosed, Merrill playfully suggested a launch before humanity's first Martian landing. The feasibility of this prediction, however, is yet to be determined.

It's important to remember that another League of Legends-based game, the highly anticipated fighting game 2XKO, is also under development. Unlike the MMO, 2XKO boasts trailers and a projected release date before the year's end.
