Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and modes, along with a fresh challenge set unlocking free rewards, including a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.
What is Recursive Destruction?
The "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This involves destroying Dracula-influenced objects that then reappear in their original state. However, not all destructible objects work; only those highlighted in red when using Chrono Vision.
Activating Chrono Vision
Chrono Vision, accessed via the "B" key (keyboard) or the right D-pad button (console), highlights destructible objects in red. Only these red-highlighted objects trigger Recursive Destruction.
Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown
This challenge is completed in Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects exist. You must wait for the first checkpoint. Two buildings will then appear, highlighted in red, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.
Destroy these buildings multiple times. The reappearance might be missed in the heat of battle, but repeated strikes should complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this, focus on subsequent challenges involving Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.
