Potential Pokemon Legends: Z-A Release Date Leaks Online

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – August 2025 Release Date Leak

Rumors suggest Pokémon Legends: Z-A may launch on August 15th, 2025, following a brief appearance of this date on Amazon UK in early January 2025. This aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.

Initially unveiled during the 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is anticipated as a sequel to the 2022 hit, Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Similar to its predecessor, it's expected to prioritize exploration and collection over traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League. Since its announcement, official details have been scarce.

The Amazon UK listing, quickly retracted, fueled speculation about the August 15th release date. This leak, spotted by content creator Light88, initially showed the game slated for August 15th before reverting to a December 31st placeholder.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

While the leaked date remains unconfirmed, an official announcement is likely imminent. Considering the game's initial reveal during Pokémon Day 2024, its release date could be unveiled during the 2025 event, scheduled for February 27th – the anniversary of the original Japanese release of Pokémon Red and Green. This date has been corroborated by a dataminer's findings within the latest Pokémon GO build.

Beyond the release date, a gameplay reveal is highly anticipated, potentially also debuting during the February 2025 Pokémon Presents broadcast.

Switch and Switch 2 Compatibility

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be released for Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo has confirmed backward compatibility for the upcoming Switch 2, ensuring its playability on both consoles. While past mainline Pokémon games have featured paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received a single free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
