All Pokémon Unite Ranks, Explained

*Pokémon Unite* features a total of six ranks, each divided into multiple classes. This structure allows players to experience sub-rank progression before advancing to the next full rank. The number of classes per rank increases slightly as you move up the ladder. Importantly, rank progression is exclusive to ranked matches; quick or standard matches won't help you climb. Here are the ranks you'll encounter in *Pokémon Unite*:

  • Beginner Rank (3 Classes)
  • Great Rank (4 Classes)
  • Expert Rank (5 Classes)
  • Veteran Rank (5 Classes)
  • Ultra Rank (5 Classes)
  • Master Rank

Starting Out

Kicking off your ranked journey begins at the Beginner Rank. To participate, you need to achieve Trainer Level 6, maintain a Fair Play score of at least 80, and have five Pokémon licenses under your belt. Once these prerequisites are met, you can dive into ranked matches and start at the Beginner Rank.

Performance Points

Your journey up the ranks is fueled by Performance Points, earned in each ranked match. You can gain 5-15 points based on your performance, 10 points for good sportsmanship, another 10 just for showing up, and 10-50 points for maintaining a winning streak. Each rank has a cap on Performance Points; once reached, you'll earn 1 Diamond Point per match, which is crucial for advancing. Here are the Performance Point caps for each rank:

  • Beginner Rank: 80 Points
  • Great Rank: 120 Points
  • Expert Rank: 200 Points
  • Veteran Rank: 300 Points
  • Ultra Rank: 400 Points
  • Master Rank: N/A

Advancing and Advancement Rewards

Diamond Points are your ticket to higher classes and ranks. Accumulate four Diamond Points to upgrade your class. Once you max out the highest class in your current rank, you'll advance to the first class of the next rank. You earn one Diamond Point for each victory and lose one for each loss in ranked matches. If your Performance Points are maxed out for your rank, you'll also earn one Diamond Point per match.

At the end of each season, *Pokémon Unite* rewards players with Aeos Tickets based on their rank, with higher ranks yielding more tickets. These tickets are essential for purchasing items and upgrades in the Aeos Emporium. Some ranks offer unique rewards that change with each season. So, gear up, strategize, and climb the ranks to secure the best rewards *Pokémon Unite* has to offer.
