Pokémon Go’s Small Yet Strong event brings your favourite tiny Pokémon to the forefront

By SkylarFeb 18,2025

The Pokémon Go "Small Yet Strong" event is almost here! From February 5th to 8th, trainers will have increased odds of encountering extra-small (XXS) and extra-large (XXL) Pokémon, plus a chance to catch the Shiny Nymble for the first time.

This event doubles your XP for catching Pokémon, making it a great opportunity to level up quickly. Keep an eye out for increased wild spawns of Paras, Natu, Joltik, and various Burmy forms. Regional variations of Flabébé will also appear more frequently (Red Flower in EMEA, Blue Flower in Asia-Pacific, Yellow Flower in the Americas, with White and Orange Flower Flabébé potentially appearing globally).

Raid battles offer even more exciting encounters. Dialga and Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) will appear in Five-Star Raids, while Mega Medicham and Mega Tyranitar dominate Mega Raids. Both raid and wild encounters offer a chance at Shiny Pokémon.

2km Eggs will hatch Togepi, Azurill, Budew, and Dedenne. Field Research tasks reward encounters with Burmy and Nymble. Don't miss the event-exclusive Timed Research and Collection Challenge for extra Stardust, Poké Balls, and more event Pokémon encounters. PokéStop Showcases will also feature event Pokémon.

Finally, be sure to visit the Pokémon Go Web Store to stock up on supplies before the event begins! This event is a fantastic way to prepare for the upcoming Pokémon Go Tour – Unova.
