Following the December 21st-22nd Community Day featuring returning Community Day Pokémon, the New Year's event offers a fresh wave of excitement. Immerse yourself in the holiday spirit with festive fireworks and decorations throughout the game world.
Expect increased appearances of special Pokémon decked out in holiday attire. Keep an eye out for Jigglypuff with a ribbon, Hoothoot in a New Year's outfit, and Wurmple sporting a party hat – and don't forget the possibility of encountering their Shiny variants!
Raids are also getting a festive makeover. One-star raids will feature a snowflake-wearing Pikachu, while three-star raids bring party-hat-adorned Raticate and Wobbuffet. Shiny rates for all three are boosted during the event.
For those who love quests, Field Research and Timed Research tasks offer even more encounters and rewards. A $2 Paid Timed Research provides exclusive goodies, including three Premium Battle Passes, three Lucky Eggs, 2,025 Stardust, and encounters with event Pokémon.
