The Debut of Steam Pokémon Volcanion

Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Coming to Osaka, Paris, and Jersey City This Summer

Niantic welcomes Trainers worldwide to join Pokémon GO Fest 2025 this summer! The in-person events kick off on May 29th across these key locations:

  • May 29 - June 1: Osaka, Japan (Expo '70 Commemorative Park)
  • June 6 - June 8: Jersey City, New Jersey, USA (Liberty State Park)
  • June 13 - June 15: Paris, France (Parc de Sceaux)

A major attraction this year is the first appearance of the elusive Steam Pokémon, Volcanion. Ticket holders at any event can encounter Volcanion through Special Research. Note that each Trainer gets only one encounter with Volcanion, regardless of how many tickets they purchase—additional Special Research grants Volcanion Candy instead.

Please note: The Lapel Pin accessory and Pikachu, Gengar, and Wobbuffet backpacks are exclusive to Jersey City and Paris events and will not be available in Osaka.

Pokémon GO Fest 2025 Coming to Osaka, Paris, and Jersey City This Summer

Can’t attend in person? Don’t worry! Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global takes place online on June 28th-29th, accessible worldwide. Global tickets grant access to Volcanion-exclusive Timed Research, along with 5 Max Revives, 5 Rare Candies, and 3 Premium Battle Passes.

While Global tickets remain available until June 29th, Trainers who purchase by April 15th—and log in between April 8th (10 AM local time) to April 15th (10 AM local time)—receive bonus Timed Research rewarding an extra Skiddo encounter.
