Sony has announced a PlayStation State of Play livestream set for tomorrow, September 24, at 2pm Pacific / 5pm Eastern / 10pm UK time, featuring over 35 minutes of updates and reveals.
The event lands in the heart of Tokyo Game Show week, just days before Sucker Punch’s highly anticipated exclusive, Ghost of Yotei, launches on PlayStation 5 on October 2. We’ll likely see more of it then.
Sony’s announcement today includes a five-minute preview of Saros, the new title from Returnal studio Housemarque. But what else is in store? Sony confirmed the State of Play will showcase updates on major titles from third-party publishers—perhaps another look at Resident Evil: Requiem?—alongside its own first-party lineup.
It’s hard not to expect fresh news on Marvel’s Wolverine, which has remained unusually quiet since Insomniac Games first revealed development in September 2021. Since then, hints about its progress have come only through unofficial channels, like Insomniac’s high-profile 2023 breach and reports that creative director Brian Horton left the project last year to join Xbox’s now-cancelled Perfect Dark.
PlayStation fans are also eager for an update on Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, especially now that creative director Neil Druckmann has returned to the game full-time after his work on The Last of Us TV series.
As always, IGN will cover all announcements live as they happen—join us then!
