Pikmin Bloom Prepares for 3.5-Year Milestone with Nostalgic Throwback

Pikmin Bloom is celebrating its 3.5th anniversary next month with a special event launching May 1st, 2025. Niantic is bringing back nostalgic gadgets that pay homage to Nintendo's rich history.

A Blast from Nintendo's Past

While previous events featured Pikmin dressed as Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards, this anniversary introduces vintage Nintendo consoles from the 80s and 90s as decor. Players will also discover a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin, referencing Nintendo's origins as a playing card manufacturer before entering the gaming industry. The designs mirror Nintendo's classic card decks.

Event Details and Rewards

The month-long celebration (May 1-31, 2025) features special missions with random rewards including Game Button Cells, seedlings for Nintendo Consoles '80-'95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals. Brilliant Mushrooms will appear during the event, dropping Mystery Boxes with exclusive items when defeated - Nintendo console or Playing Card Decor Pikmin prove most effective against them.

Spring Blooms and Special Nectar

During May, Big Flowers can blossom into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when planted with red, yellow, white, or blue petals.

A nectar update ensures mushroom battles during May will yield regular flower nectar as well as special varieties:

  • Carnations
  • Sweet peas
  • Lilies of the valley
  • Freesias
  • Canola flowers
  • Anniversary roses

Additional Anniversary Activities

The celebration includes Community Day events and more surprises. Download Pikmin Bloom on the Google Play Store to join the festivities.
