Persona 5: The Phantom X is gearing up for its worldwide debut, with Android pre-registrations now open. Following its June 26th, 2025 Japan release announcement, developers have confirmed the same date for the global launch.
Originally launched in China before expanding to Taiwan, South Korea, Macau, and Hong Kong across Android, iOS, and PC platforms, the game is now poised for a complete worldwide rollout by SEGA and Atlus.
Persona 5: The Phantom X Global Pre-Registration Is Now Live
The free-to-play title—developed by Black Wing Game Studio with involvement from former Persona 5 team members—features a gacha system for recruiting party members. The global version includes Japanese voiceovers with optional English or Japanese subtitles. Fans can pre-register now on the Google Play Store.
Phantom X introduces a brand-new protagonist leading their own Phantom Thieves group through a stylized Tokyo, complete with fresh Palaces and Mementos. Retaining the series' signature turn-based combat and dual-life system, the game blends social simulation with dungeon crawling while adding new features like a guild system and Velvet Trials PvE mode. Familiar characters from Persona 5 also make appearances.
The narrative begins with the main character awakening from a nightmare into a distorted reality, soon encountering Lefaye—a talking owl—alongside the iconic Velvet Room residents, including the enigmatic long-nosed attendant and his assistants.
