Lychee Game's Patch Quest has arrived on Android, courtesy of Crunchyroll. Initially launching in early access on PC in May 2021, the game saw its full release in March 2023. It masterfully blends elements from several genres, including roguelike, bullet hell, metroidvania, and monster-taming.
Explore a Shifting Patchwork Maze Teeming with Monsters in Patch Quest
The adventure unfolds in Patchlantis, a mysterious island fragmented into patches. Each run reshuffles the island's layout, ensuring every expedition feels fresh and unpredictable.
Your trusty lasso is your sole constant companion, serving a far greater purpose than just a tool—it's your lifeline. Use it to capture and befriend over 50 distinct monster species. This count expands significantly with numerous subspecies, each offering unique traversal abilities and combat advantages to help you navigate perilous situations.
Every creature can be tamed, ridden, and utilized to cross hazardous terrain. Some take to the skies, others glide through water. Certain monsters burrow underground or dart through narrow gaps. For example, the Buzzerker transforms into a living harpoon, while the Sandamander digs to safety. The Torrentoise can deflect incoming attacks with its shell, and the Combusdile creates protective walls of flame.

What Is the Combat Like?
Prepare for relentless bullet-hell action. The screen fills with enemy projectiles as you master your mount's abilities. While each failed attempt presents a challenge, you always retain progress—unlocking a new shortcut, strengthening a pet, or gaining deeper insight into the island's secrets.
Over 200 varieties of plants and minerals are scattered across Patchlantis. Many fruits can be blended into ammo-enhancing smoothies for powerful buffs during your run. You can also use these resources to unlock new gear, expanding your movement capabilities and strategic options.
If you're a Crunchyroll subscriber, you can download Patch Quest now from the Google Play Store.
