Overwatch 2 Unveils Exclusive Events for Chinese Players

Overwatch 2's triumphant return to China is set for February 19th, bringing with it a wealth of rewards and exciting events. Chinese players will have the opportunity to catch up on missed content, including Battle Pass rewards from Seasons 1 through 9. This comprehensive catch-up will be facilitated by in-game events and a special "Return to China" celebration spanning multiple weeks.

A technical test, conducted from January 8th to 15th, provided a sneak peek at the upcoming content, including "Overwatch: Classic" and heroes released since the game's previous absence from the Chinese market.

The highlight of the relaunch is the promise of Season 15, which will feature skin bundles inspired by Chinese mythology. While details remain scarce, the potential for new, China-exclusive skins, or even a broader thematic integration into Season 15, is highly anticipated. A full reveal is expected in early February, just ahead of the Season 15 launch on February 18th.

In the meantime, players globally can participate in the "Min 1, Max 3" 6v6 test (January 21st - February 4th), featuring the classic 2-2-2 team composition. The Lunar New Year and "Moth Meta Overwatch: Classic" events are also scheduled before Season 15. While Chinese players may miss these specific events, their own celebratory relaunch activities promise to be equally compelling.
