Nintendo Confirms Mockup Is Not Official
No Switch 2 Hardware Supplied to Genki

Addressing rumors from CES 2025, Nintendo told CNET Japan and Sankei that "the images and videos are not official" and clarified that the gaming hardware Genki presented as the Switch 2 was not provided by Nintendo and is unofficial.
At the recent CES 2025 consumer electronics trade show, accessory manufacturer Genki drew attention by displaying a supposed 3D-printed mockup of the anticipated Nintendo Switch 2. The company also reportedly claimed to journalists and attendees that they possessed a "real" Switch 2 and shared a release date.

Genki, a U.S.-based brand specializing in accessories for electronics and gaming consoles, offers products like controllers, portable SSDs, and chargers. Their website even features a dedicated page for Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, showcasing a detailed animated mockup of the console.
Nintendo has yet to share significant details about the upcoming console, only confirming that it will support backward compatibility with the original Switch and its games. With speculation growing, the Japanese tech giant may soon provide an official update on the Switch 2.
