NieR: Automata offers a diverse arsenal, from quirky choices like the Iron Pipe to powerful options such as the Type-40 Blade. Many weapons are unique YoRHa designs, but one stands out for Square Enix fans: Noctis's Engine Blade from Final Fantasy XV. This guide details its location and key stats, accessible during your first playthrough.
Where To Find The Engine Blade In NieR: Automata
The Engine Blade is located within the factory area, but not during the game's initial sequence. You'll need to revisit as 2B; access is available anytime after this point. Chapter Select (Chapter 9) provides a quicker route. Begin at the Factory: Hanger access point.
Exiting the access point, take the right path (2D camera perspective). Pass a fenced area, ascend broken stairs, and navigate conveyor belts with moving boxes and potentially lethal presses. Jump to the next cylindrical section, encountering spider-like enemies.
Use the door to the left, climbing stairs while dodging exploding enemies. A railing ends midway; the platform extends towards the camera. Shift the camera angle to enter another 2D platforming section, traversing the tops of presses to the left. The final room contains three chests. The Engine Blade is in the leftmost chest; a locked chest is on the right.
Caution: Exploding enemies will descend from the ceiling as you approach.
Engine Blade Stats In NieR: Automata
- Attack: 160-200
- Combo: Light 5, Heavy 3
This weapon boasts four upgrade levels, culminating in a light combo of 7 hits (requires finding the Masamune). Unlike the Iron Pipe, it features a tighter damage range, providing more predictable damage output.
