- Beta registration for the Containment Test is now open
- Supports three language options
- Mobile access not available yet
Hotta Studio’s upcoming title, Neverness to Everness, has reached a key development phase with its closed beta registration now open. Dubbed the Containment Test, this PC-only beta offers early access to the urban open-world action RPG, blending chaos, exploration, and supernatural powers driven by Espers.
Set in the vast city of Hethereau, Neverness to Everness delivers a world where bizarre anomalies coexist with high-octane pursuits and lifestyle choices. Trailers showcase its eccentric tone—think skateboards with graffiti that seem alive, otters sporting TV heads, and a haunting midnight atmosphere.
Players will navigate this eerie city using Esper Abilities, confronting mysterious anomalies while balancing everyday life with surreal challenges. The beta provides an initial glimpse into the mechanics that distinguish Neverness to Everness from other titles in its genre.

Unlike typical open-world RPGs, urban driving is central, featuring customizable vehicles and realistic crash mechanics. Lifestyle elements, such as owning and decorating a home, broaden the experience beyond combat, letting players immerse themselves in city life or obsess over interior design between missions.

The Containment Test includes voice-overs in English, Japanese, and Chinese, with additional text language support. Though currently PC-exclusive, the full game will launch on PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. Mobile players will need to wait a bit longer.
Neverness to Everness enters a competitive field, facing off against titles like Zenless Zone Zero and Ananta in the urban RPG genre. Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and backed by Hotta Studio’s experience with Tower of Fantasy, this new world has the potential to stand out.
