"We Are Muesli Launches

Indie studio We Are Muesli has exciting news for gaming enthusiasts: they've announced a new narrative game titled In Their Shoes, slated for release in 2026 on both mobile and PC platforms. This game has already garnered attention, earning a nomination for the 'A MAZE. 2025' awards in Berlin, an accolade that celebrates independent and arthouse games.

In Their Shoes Is a Narrative Game that’s More About Listening

Set in the vibrant and contradictory city of present-day Milan, In Their Shoes allows players to immerse themselves in the lives of seven unique characters. The game comprises 49 short interactive stories, each termed a 'Moment,' offering a brief yet profound insight into a character's daily life.

Each Moment is designed to reflect the character's hesitations, routines, and the split-second decisions they face. Some Moments unfold slowly, inviting players to linger in a character's thoughts, while others demand quick reactions, simulating the urgency of real-life scenarios.

Unlike traditional narrative games, the storytelling in In Their Shoes is deliberately untidy, providing a more authentic slice-of-life experience. As players navigate through the scattered narratives, they can uncover 26 hidden biographical details about each character, adding depth to their understanding.

While the Play Store page for the game is yet to be launched, the Steam page is already live. You can get a sneak peek of the game through the announcement trailer below:
