Monster Hunter: Wilds' Second Open Beta Dates Announced!

Capcom has announced the dates for the highly anticipated second open beta of Monster Hunter: Wilds, scheduled for two weekends in February 2025. Building on the success of the first beta (late 2024), this extended test offers players another opportunity to experience the expansive new RPG before its official launch on February 28, 2025.

Monster Hunter: Wilds promises to be a groundbreaking entry in the franchise, setting itself apart with a vast, open-world environment featuring diverse ecosystems and a wide array of challenging monsters. The initial beta showcased narrative elements, character creation, and several tutorial hunts.

The second open beta will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam, running across these periods:

  • Weekend 1: February 6th, 2025, 7:00 PM PT – February 9th, 2025, 6:59 PM PT
  • Weekend 2: February 13th, 2025, 7:00 PM PT – February 16th, 2025, 6:59 PM PT

What Awaits in the Second Beta?

Capcom has confirmed the return of all content from the first beta, including character creation, the story trial, and the Doshaguma hunt. A thrilling new addition is the inclusion of a Gypceros hunt, a fan-favorite monster returning to the series. Furthermore, players can import their characters created during the first beta, eliminating the need to recreate hunters.

Addressing feedback from the first beta, Capcom acknowledges player concerns regarding visuals and weapon mechanics. The developer assures players that significant improvements are underway, incorporating player feedback to refine the game before launch.

This second beta is a crucial step for both Capcom and fans. It presents a valuable opportunity to further polish the experience and generate excitement for this ambitious title. Whether you're a returning veteran or a newcomer, February 2025 promises an exhilarating hunt for all.
