Unlock the Destiny 2 Mistral Lift: A Guide to Obtaining This Dawning Event Weapon

The Dawning event has returned to Destiny 2, offering players a chance to bake treats for NPCs and farm for new weapons, including the sought-after Mistral Lift. This guide details how to acquire the Mistral Lift and its optimal god roll.

Acquiring the Mistral Lift

The Mistral Lift is a Linear Fusion Rifle exclusive to Destiny 2's Dawning event, available for a limited time. You'll obtain it from Eva Levante. The exchange requires one "Gift in Return" and 25 Dawning Spirits. Eva also sells Festive Engrams (one Gift in Return and 10 Dawning Spirits), but these offer a random chance at the Mistral Lift.

To earn a Gift in Return, bake a Dawning treat (like the Neomun-Cake) and deliver it to an NPC. Dawning Spirits, the event currency, are earned by completing Dawning quests and bounties obtained daily from Eva.

Once you have the necessary Gifts and Spirits, visit Eva to purchase the Mistral Lift directly or a Festive Engram. Repeat this process until you obtain your desired roll.

The Optimal Mistral Lift God Roll (PvE)

While Linear Fusion Rifles haven't always been meta in Destiny 2, the Mistral Lift excels in PvE, particularly for solo players. The recommended god roll is:

StatRoll
BarrelFluted Barrel
BatteryEnhanced Battery
Perk 1Withering Gaze
Perk 2Bait and Switch
MasterworkHandling

The key perks are Withering Gaze (enemy debuff) and Bait and Switch (30% damage boost after aiming down sights). While requiring ADS for a second, the damage increase significantly enhances PvE performance. Consider Envious Assassin instead of Withering Gaze for group play, though both are excellent choices. Fluted Barrel, Enhanced Battery, and Handling Masterwork boost stability and ammo capacity.

PvP performance is less impressive, as expected for a Linear Fusion Rifle. However, the Mistral Lift's PvE capabilities make it a worthwhile acquisition.
