Portraying one of the most iconic characters in the Game of Thrones universe didn't come easily for Milly Alcock. The Australian actress, who brought young Rhaenyra Targaryen to life in the spinoff House of the Dragon, recently disclosed facing immediate professional challenges - revealing that a high-ranking production member suggested acting coaching after just her second day on set.

"During my second day filming House of the Dragon, an unnamed senior figure pulled me aside saying, 'We're arranging an acting coach for you,'" Alcock recalled during her appearance on The Tonight Show, describing the moment as utterly humiliating.

The Critics Choice-nominated actress humorously reflected on how the incident grounded her. "It validated my worst fears about my acting abilities," she joked. "I honestly thought, 'I'm terrible at this - what a colossal mistake!'"

Alcock, who stars as Kara Zor-El/Supergirl in upcoming DC films including Superman and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, originally portrayed Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen - King Viserys I's heir - as a Season 1 regular before returning for Season 2. Emma D'Arcy later assumes the role as the adult princess-turned-queen.

The acclaimed prequel debuted in August 2022, three years after Game of Thrones concluded. House of the Dragon secured Season 2 approval days after premiere and unexpectedly received Season 3 renewal in June 2024 - even before Season 2 aired - later earning the Golden Globe for Best Drama Series.

While Season 3 production is confirmed, HBO has not yet announced an official release date.
