Many dungeons in Metaphor: ReFantazio feature formidable mini-bosses before the final encounter. Even with grinding, these enemies (often red in Fairy Sight) necessitate squad combat. The Faithwight Magileto in the Spire of Blind Faith is a prime example of such a challenging foe. Victory requires strategic planning and a bit of luck.

Weakness | Repel | Resists | Blocks |
---|---|---|---|
Strike | Light | Pierce | Electric |
This level 50 enemy can summon additional level 50 enemies, making battles challenging below level 45.
Faithwight Magiletos utilize potent dark and light magic, affecting single targets or the entire party. Megidolaon, a devastating all-party attack, inflicts substantial damage, amplified by passive buffs enhancing dark, light, and pierce damage. The enemy also employs Soul Scream, granting four Press Turn icons per turn, and can summon level 50 skeletons.
These summoned skeletons possess strong slashing attacks and dark magic, along with powerful buffs and access to potent healing spells, often restoring the Magileto to full health. Their weakness to Strike attacks underscores the importance of focusing on this element.
Strategies for Defeating Faithwight Magileto in Metaphor: ReFantazio
This battle remains incredibly difficult even at level 50, nearly impossible below that. Preparation is key:
- Acquire Dark Dodge (Magic Knight).
- Acquire Light Dodge (Healer Archetype).
- Skill Inherit Strike skills (Brawler Archetype).
- Utilize Warlock or Thief Archetypes (resist dark and/or light damage).
- Carry Tetrabreak to counter Tetrakarn (if used by summoned enemies).
Archetype selection is secondary to minimizing weaknesses to dark, light, and slash damage. Prioritize Strength-heavy Archetypes if possible, leveraging Skill Inheritance. Ensure at least two party members possess party-wide healing spells, and equip everyone with Strike attacks to maximize Press Turn Icons and mitigate damage.
Luck plays a role; consecutive Megidolaons are nearly unsurvivable. Equipping Dark and Light Dodge on most party members helps mitigate damage and shorten enemy turns. Eliminate summoned allies swiftly before they heal the Magileto. Dekaja can dispel enemy buffs. Aim for at least six Strike attacks and two party-wide healing spells per turn.
