The return of legendary skins in Fortnite is always a surprise. While some, like Kratos, have been absent for years, Master Chief, the iconic Halo protagonist, has made a triumphant return after a near 1000-day absence (last seen June 3, 2022), reappearing on December 23, 2024.

How to Get Master Chief in Fortnite

- Master Chief Outfit
Starting December 23rd, 7 PM ET, the Fortnite Item Shop features Master Chief. Purchasing the Master Chief outfit individually costs 1,500 V-Bucks, including his Halo Infinite armor and the free Battle Legend Back Bling. Although a LEGO style isn't currently available, additional Halo-themed items are available within the Master Chief Bundle or as separate purchases:

How to Get the Matte Black Master Chief in Fortnite
The Fortnite Status account on X (formerly Twitter) confirmed the Matte Black Master Chief style remains obtainable. To unlock it, simply purchase the Master Chief outfit and then play a single Fortnite Battle Royale match on an Xbox Series X|S.
Previous statements suggesting the Matte Black style was no longer unlockable for post-December 2024 purchases have been retracted. Grab this extra style while you can!
