Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Launch Featuring the Fantastic Four

Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This unprecedented expansion is due to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified launch.

This supersized season includes:

  • Three new maps: Explore iconic New York City locations – the Sanctum Sanctorum (available at launch, featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
  • The Fantastic Four: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut with the season launch, with The Thing and Human Torch arriving in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.

The developers have confirmed that Season 1's expanded content is a deliberate choice, prioritizing the simultaneous release of the Fantastic Four. While the impact on future seasons' content remains unclear, the current expectation is to continue adding two heroes or villains per season.

Despite the excitement surrounding the launch, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of Blade. However, the possibility of his future inclusion remains open. With a wealth of new content and ongoing speculation, Marvel Rivals’ future looks incredibly promising.
