Marvel Snap introduces exciting Sanctum Showdown mode

By IsabellaApr 18,2025

Get ready to test your skills and aim for the title of Sorcerer Supreme with the new limited-time mode in Marvel Snap: Sanctum Showdown. Available for the next two weeks until March 11th, this event introduces an exciting new way to compete with unique win conditions, a special Sanctum location, and fresh snapping mechanics.

In the Sanctum Showdown mode, the goal shifts from playing until turn six to being the first to reach 16 points. The central element of this mode is the Sanctum location, which awards the highest points each turn. Additionally, snapping mechanics are revamped here. Starting on turn three, you can snap once per turn to boost the Sanctum's value by one point, ensuring dynamic shifts in momentum throughout the game.

Participating in a match costs one Scroll, but victory rewards you with another, allowing you to keep the action rolling. You begin with 12 Scrolls and receive two more every eight hours. Should you run out, you can buy more for 40 Gold. Regardless of the match's outcome, you'll progress your Sorcerer Rank and earn Charms, which you can spend at the Sanctum Shop on cosmetics or new cards.

Strategizing with cards like Captain Marvel or Dracula won't work in this mode, as certain cards and locations are banned to ensure fair play. Abilities that influence final outcomes are disabled, and cards such as Debrii have been removed to prevent one-sided strategies.

To tackle this challenge effectively, consider using our Marvel Snap tier list to build the perfect deck.

If you're eyeing cards like Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben, Sanctum Showdown is your exclusive opportunity to unlock them before they're available in the Token Shop on March 13th. Through Portal Pulls, you have a chance to obtain these cards for free, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.

Mark your calendar—Sanctum Showdown will be live in Marvel Snap until March 11th. For more details, visit the official website.
