No Man's Sky patch 5.50: everything you need to know

No Man's Sky, the expansive space exploration game, continues its impressive run of updates with the release of version 5.50, "Worlds Part II." This massive update introduces a staggering array of new features and improvements, as highlighted in the accompanying trailer showcasing enhanced lighting, diverse new biomes and landscapes, and fascinating deep-sea creatures.

The core world generation has undergone a significant overhaul. Players will now discover dramatically altered terrain, including towering mountains, hidden valleys, and expansive plains. The game's universe has expanded further with the addition of a new star type, leading to the exploration of uncharted territories. Massive gas giants, each with dynamic and evolving atmospheres, add another layer of complexity and visual spectacle. New environmental hazards further challenge survival skills, with toxic clouds, volcanic eruptions, thermal geysers, and radioactive fallout adding to the thrill of exploration.

A particularly exciting addition is the ability to explore the deep ocean, diving to incredible depths. The crushing darkness of the abyss, where sunlight fails to penetrate, creates a truly alien environment, illuminated only by bioluminescent corals and teeming with mysterious life forms.

Beyond the new content, existing features have also received enhancements. Inventory management has been improved with the addition of automatic sorting options based on name, type, value, or color. Fishing and marine life have also been refined. Finally, numerous bugs have been squashed. For a complete list of changes and fixes, players are encouraged to consult the official game website.
