KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Version Shuts Down, Is It Getting an Offline Version?

Another gacha game bites the dust! KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published by Nexon (later Sesisoft), officially shut down its servers on January 30th, marking the end of a 3.5-year run. While this is shorter than the Japanese version's 5-year lifespan, it's a respectable run for an anime-based gacha, especially considering declining revenue in recent times.

A Farewell, Not a Forget:

The developers clearly transitioned their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game. However, they didn't abandon KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global abruptly. The game received voiced story updates right up until the end, including a final song release just three weeks before closure. A farewell livestream in December even featured Kazuma's voice actor.

The Japanese version went above and beyond by archiving the entire main story on its YouTube channel, allowing players to revisit the antics of Kazuma and his companions. An offline version also grants continued access to the story, voice lines, and character collection.

Unfortunately, the global version lacks both an offline mode and a dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still explore the Japanese YouTube channel to relive their KonoSuba moments.

This concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next article covering Karrablast and Shelmet in Pokémon Go's February Community Day!
