Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project.
The controversy gained traction after online discussions about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia fueled speculation regarding its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to attacks on the developers across social media platforms, with calls to boycott the game and its creators.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to these claims, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's December gold master status. These codes are anticipated to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time for preparation.
Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are expected to surface just a week after the initial code distribution.
