The developers recently announced on Discord that a select group of 100 volunteer testers are currently putting it through its paces. Recruitment has now closed, signaling the mode is nearing completion.
While specifics remain under wraps, expect a difficulty level comparable to, or exceeding, the first game's infamous hardcore mode. Recall the original's punishing limitations: restricted saving, amplified enemy damage, treacherous navigation, meager gold rewards, and debilitating negative perks? Deliverance 2's hardcore mode will likely build upon this foundation, promising an even more unforgiving experience.
Testers are bound by strict NDAs, preventing the sharing of screenshots or videos. However, their involvement suggests an official reveal is imminent. This hardcore mode will arrive as a free update, ensuring all players can experience the heightened challenge.
