Today marks the global Android release of Alphadia III, the latest installment in the beloved Alphadia series from KEMCO and developed by EXE CREATE. Originally launched in Japan last October, this game continues the saga and brings new adventures to players worldwide.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
Set in the Alphadian Year 970, Alphadia III immerses you in the climactic stages of the Energi War, a fierce conflict over a mysterious life force known as energi. The world is divided among three dominant powers: the Schwarzschild Empire in the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom in the west, and the Luminea Alliance in the east, each vying for control.
As the situation grows dire, a clone soldier named Alfonso becomes the central figure. The story takes a pivotal turn when a girl named Tarte arrives with news of a fellow clone's death, igniting a chain of events that propels Alfonso into action.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
Alphadia III retains the classic turn-based combat system viewed from a side perspective, rendered in nostalgic pixel art. The game introduces several systems to enhance combat dynamics, including SP Skills that charge during battles and can significantly alter the flow of combat when used strategically.
Another key feature is the Arrays system, which allows players to unlock and switch between various battle formations and strategies, providing flexibility in combat against different enemies.
A novel addition to the series is the Energi Crock. Players can deposit spare items into this device, which over time, converts them into Energi Elements. These elements can then be traded for valuable gear or other items at exchange shops within the game.
Throughout your journey, you'll encounter various factions, including the peacekeeping alliance Deval and elite military units like Rosenkreutz from Nordsheim. The game also features different energi clone models, such as the Berger Series from Nordsheim and the Delta Series from Schwarzschild.
In addition to the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content to explore, and the game is optimized for controller use. You can purchase the full version on the Google Play Store for $7.99, or opt for the freemium version with ads.
