Monster Hunter Wilds: Second Open Beta Announced for February!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? A second chance arrives in early February! This extended beta test offers returning players another opportunity to experience the game before its official launch on February 28th, 2025. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto revealed the news in a recent YouTube video.
New Monster and Content
The Open Beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. Available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, this beta includes exciting new additions not featured in the initial test. Hunters can now face off against the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter titles.
Character data from the first beta is transferable to this one and, subsequently, to the full game. However, progress won't carry over. Participants will receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a bonus item pack to aid early-game progress.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team received requests from players who missed the first or wanted a repeat experience. While recent community updates highlighted upcoming improvements, these changes are still under development and won't be included in this beta.
Get ready for the Monster Hunter Wilds full release on February 28th, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Happy hunting!
