The Emerald Dream expansion is coming to Hearthstone on March 25th, bringing 145 new cards, fresh mechanics, and powerful new legendary Wild Gods. This magical yet twisted expansion presents a choice: defend Ysera's tranquil realm, the heart of Nature magic, or embrace the chaos.
New Mechanics: Imbue and Dark Gifts
The expansion introduces the Imbue keyword. For Druids, Hunters, Mages, Paladins, Priests, and Shamans, playing an Imbue card transforms your Hero Power, becoming progressively stronger with each subsequent Imbue card played. For example, Hunters receive the Blessing of the Wolf. Other classes will not benefit from the Imbue mechanic.
Alternatively, those who prefer a darker path can embrace the Dark Gifts keyword. Death Knights, Demon Hunters, Rogues, Warlocks, and Warriors can utilize these twisted enhancements, which synergize with Discover options to create powerful, nightmare-fueled minions. Ten unique Dark Gifts await within The Emerald Dream.
The Wild Gods
The Emerald Dream also introduces the Wild Gods – colossal legendary minions, one for each class. Some have succumbed to corruption, creating a compelling conflict between those defending the Dream and those embracing the Nightmare.
