Just How Frightening Is It?
Set in 1898 within the ominous Sker Hotel on the Welsh coast, Maid of Sker plunges you into a world of dark secrets and spine-tingling Welsh hymns. Drawing inspiration from Welsh folklore, particularly the legend of Y Ferch o’r Sger (The Maid of Sker), the narrative unfolds as you play Thomas Evans, investigating the strange behavior of his girlfriend Elisabeth Williams' family. The unsettling truth: the hotel is under the control of the sinister "Quiet Ones."
These enemies are blind but possess acutely sensitive hearing. The slightest noise puts you in grave danger, and unlike many horror games, gunfire isn't an option. Stealth and silence are your only allies, making for a gameplay experience reminiscent of the film A Quiet Place. A helpful gadget temporarily stuns enemies, but it's not a foolproof solution. Prepare for a truly terrifying experience!
