As detailed in official materials, players assume the role of Jacob Diaz, a soldier equipped with experimental neural implant technology called MindsEye. This advanced system has fractured Diaz's memories, leaving him with fragmented recollections of military service. The narrative follows his dangerous quest to uncover suppressed truths while evading an AI-controlled military force.
MindsEye has been in development for several years under Benzies' studio Build a Rocket Boy, which collaborates with Hitman developers IO Interactive. Originally announced as a AAA action-adventure title, the project shares ties with the Everywhere platform - described during our 2024 studio visit as an ambitious "big-budget Roblox" style platform.
While the new trailer focuses exclusively on the single-player experience, MindsEye promises an action-packed adventure from one of gaming's most accomplished developers. Current projections indicate a summer 2025 release window.
