Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols
Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less apparent than others. This guide focuses on the five Golden Idols hidden within Act 3, which, despite being labeled "Quest Items," function differently than typical quest items. They don't trigger a quest log entry and aren't traded for traditional quest rewards. Instead, these idols are valuable sellable items, yielding a significant gold reward.
Locating the Golden Idols
After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll arrive in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This area, representing the Vaal civilization at its peak, is where your search begins. The idols are located within Utzaal and the connected area, Aggorat. They aren't random enemy drops; instead, they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Discoveries
Once you've collected a Golden Idol, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He's the only vendor who will purchase these unique items. The selling prices are as follows:
- Golden Idol: 500 Gold
- Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
- Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
- Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
- Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold
Collecting all five idols nets you a substantial 6000 Gold. Given their limited inventory space and sole purpose as high-value trade goods, it's recommended to sell them immediately after discovery to free up space.
