There is No Game: Wrong Dimension is the Epic Game Store\'s freebie this week

• This week’s complimentary Epic Games Store title features There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension
• The eccentric point-and-click adventure has garnered widespread acclaim since its initial release
• Our App Army community members thoroughly enjoyed their experience with it back in 2021

Since Epic launched its freebie program on mobile platforms, players have been treated to exceptional titles, including Cultist Simulator, Limbo, and Knights of the Old Republic. Today’s offering, There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension, may not boast the same mainstream recognition as those giants, but it carries a significant seal of approval from our community.

Roughly four years ago, our App Army readers reviewed Draw Me a Pixel’s point-and-click adventure, and they offered universal praise. Naturally, it also achieved high scores on Metacritic, securing its status as an indie cult classic. Whether you trust critical reviews or user feedback, this title comes highly recommended.

So, what is the story? That is delightfully tricky to explain. As the title suggests, we are dealing with a brand of humor that stands out for its uniqueness. You assume the role of The User, someone who refuses to accept The Game’s claim that it isn’t actually a game. After persistent prodding and an inability to believe what is being told, the software glitches and pulls you into the titular wrong dimension.

What’s the objective (and click)?

From there, you navigate through a series of levels inspired by various gaming genres. Expect classic point-and-click segments, top-down adventures, and even a delightfully cheesy free-to-play incremental idle game filled with loot boxes. As expected, the fourth wall is thoroughly shattered. Fans of The Stanley Parable will feel right at home here.

It is definitely worth downloading, especially since it costs absolutely nothing. Once you have finished playing, check out our list of the best point-and-click adventures for iOS and Android to keep your gaming streak going after dealing with Mr Glitch.

Beyond Epic’s storefront, There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension is also available on the App Store and Google Play, priced at $4.99. Feel free to purchase it from either platform by clicking the buttons below if you prefer that option.
