Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K

Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Two weeks ahead of the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize the need for high-end graphics cards with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.

The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This follows the November PS5 Pro enhancement patch, boosting the game's visuals on Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at this time, with Square Enix focusing on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.

Revised PC specifications clarify the need for 12-16GB VRAM for 4K resolution. Other minimum, recommended, and ultra settings are detailed below:

Game director Naoki Hamaguchi previously highlighted the enhanced lighting, shaders, and textures exclusive to the PC port. While Steam Deck optimization was previously mentioned, no updates have been provided. The PC release is set for January 23rd.
