My Father Lied A Mesopotamia-themed Point and Click Title Launches in May

By GraceFeb 10,2025

Unravel the mystery of your father's disappearance in "My Father Lied," a captivating point-and-click adventure game launching May 30th!

Ahmed Alameen, a writer and filmmaker, presents his debut title: a narrative-driven puzzle game inspired by Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman who embarks on a quest to uncover the truth behind her father's vanishing twenty years prior, a mystery further complicated by the revelation of a previously unknown sibling.

Alameen, initially collaborating on the project, took the reins as a solo developer, mastering game design to bring his vision to life. The gameplay involves classic point-and-click mechanics, challenging you to piece together images, decipher codes, and explore visually stunning, albeit uniquely rendered, environments. The game blends the atmospheric charm of titles like Myst and Heaven's Vault, infused with the literary spirit of H.P. Lovecraft.

Alameen's innovative approach utilizes a blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, even in the meticulously crafted, frame-by-frame cutscenes. This creative technique delivers high-quality visuals optimized for performance on less powerful PCs.

"My Father Lied" will be available on May 30th for $10.99/€ on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam. Add it to your Steam wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration is not yet available.
