Expelled! challenges you to clear your name by catching the culprit or framing someone else

By GraceFeb 22,2025

Framed for a crime you didn't commit? In Expelled!, a gripping interactive mystery from inkle (creators of Overboard!), you're Verity Amersham, a scholarship student at Miss Mulligatawney's School for Promising Girls, wrongly accused of pushing a prefect out a window.

You have one day to clear your name. Every decision – from your actions and conversations to your location – shapes the narrative. The school's inhabitants react in real-time to your choices, creating a dynamic and unpredictable experience. Trust is a luxury you can't afford; alliances shift, and betrayals lurk around every corner.

Solve the mystery legitimately, or employ deceit and manipulation. Forge alibis, shift blame, and exploit loopholes. The more you deviate from the truth, the more possibilities unfold.

Each playthrough offers a unique experience, lasting approximately 30-45 minutes. Uncover hidden secrets, explore the school's mysteries (like the locked cellar and your friend's hidden agenda), and strive for the ultimate goal: becoming Head Girl. But beware, the path to exoneration – and advancement – is fraught with peril.

Set in 1922 and underscored by a jazz soundtrack featuring iconic artists like George Gershwin, Louis Armstrong, and Bessie Smith, Expelled! delivers a captivating blend of mystery and interactive storytelling. Your choices dictate your fate.

Expelled! launches March 12th on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and iOS. In the meantime, explore our list of the best narrative mobile games!
