Escape Academy is the Epic Games Store's free offering for January 16th, marking the fourth free game of 2025. With a strong OpenCritic score of 80 and an 88% recommendation rate, it's poised to be the highest-rated free game offered on the EGS so far this year.

This escape-room style puzzler, developed by Coin Crew Games, challenges players to train as "escape room masters" within the Academy. Originally released in July 2022 for PC and consoles, it's available for PC gamers to claim from January 16th to 23rd on the Epic Games Store, following Turmoil's run.

Previously a free mystery game on EGS on January 1st, 2024, this giveaway marks its first full-week availability. The timing is particularly beneficial for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, as Escape Academy is leaving the service on January 15th after an 18-month run.

Players who enjoy the game can also purchase two DLC packs: Escape From Anti-Escape Island and Escape From the Past, individually priced at $9.99 or bundled together as a Season Pass for $14.99.
