Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Confirmation Emails Sent, Scams Emerge

Elden Ring Nightreign Scalpers and Scammers Already on the Loose

FromSoftware has begun sending confirmation emails for the highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test, generating excitement among selected players. This follows the application period which ran from January 10th to 20th, 2025.

Confirmation and Test Details:

Recipients of the confirmation email will receive a follow-up email on February 11th, 2025, containing a unique code to download the test client for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The test itself will run from February 14th to 16th, 2025, with five 3-hour sessions scheduled:

  • Session 1: February 14th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
  • Session 2: February 14th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT
  • Session 3: February 15th, 11 AM - 2 PM PT
  • Session 4: February 16th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT

FromSoftware describes the test as a preliminary verification to assess online systems and server capacity under heavy load.

Beware of Scams and Scalpers:

Unfortunately, the excitement surrounding the test has also attracted malicious actors. Reports indicate a phishing scam circulating on Steam, where fraudulent invites redirect users to malicious websites, potentially compromising accounts and spreading the scam via mass messaging. FromSoftware emphasizes that official communication regarding the test is only through their website and social media channels.

Furthermore, scalpers are already attempting to profit from the limited access, listing purported "confirmed test codes" for exorbitant prices ($150-$200) on various online marketplaces, despite codes not being distributed until February 11th.

Elden Ring Nightreign Overview:

Initially announced at the Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A precise release date remains unannounced.
