EA's Skate Sim Begins Playtesting

Become a Skate Insider and Get Exclusive Rewards

Following its June 2020 announcement and subsequent teasers, skate. is finally open for playtesting on PlayStation and Xbox consoles. While a PC beta date remains unconfirmed, potential PC testers are encouraged to register as Insiders to receive updates.

According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September. However, developer Full Circle continues to welcome new playtesters as development progresses.

To participate in the beta, visit EA's website and register on the skate. page to become a Skate Insider. In addition to early access, Insiders will receive exclusive in-game rewards, including a unique skateboard and stickers, upon the Early Access launch.

skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, the game is designed as a free-to-play, live-service title promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
