Diablo 4: All Forgotten Altar Locations Revealed

By ChristopherMay 12,2025

A new kind of power is coming to *Diablo 4*, and it's sure to be familiar to fans of fantasy series like *Harry Potter* and *Agatha All Along*. However, joining a coven and mastering the art of Witchcraft isn’t a walk in the park. So, here's your guide to all Forgotten Altar locations in *Diablo 4*.

How To Find All the Forgotten Altar Locations in Diablo 4

The Season of Witchcraft introduces a new Questline that lets you delve into the world of Witchcraft Powers. These powers are divided into three major categories – Eldritch, Psyche, and Growth & Decay – each focusing on different aspects of occult magic. To harness these abilities, you must gain favor with The Coven by earning Restless Rot through completing missions.

As you progress, you'll unlock the ability to upgrade structures near the Tree of Whispers known as Altars. While most *Diablo 4* players will focus on the main Altars, there's another type that unlocks a different kind of magic. Forgotten Altars grant you access to Lost Powers, which are exceptionally potent. However, locating a Forgotten Altar isn't straightforward.

Unlike the main Altars, which have fixed spawn points, Forgotten Altars appear randomly in dungeons throughout Sanctuary. This means you'll need to do some grinding, but since the season's Questline often leads you to dungeons, you might not need to go out of your way too much. The effort is well worth it, as the Lost Powers are among the game's most powerful abilities.
