After months of speculation, DC has officially cast Tom Rhys Harries as the iconic Batman villain Clayface in the highly anticipated DCU standalone film.
The announcement came from DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn, who shared a Deadline article via Bluesky. This development builds excitement for the film as its September 11, 2026 release date approaches.
"After an extensive casting search, we're thrilled to welcome Tom Rhys Harries as our DCU Clayface," Gunn stated. "Both Matt Reeves and I were impressed by his talent. We can't wait for audiences to experience James Watkins' vision of Mike Flanagan's screenplay."
This marks Harries' debut in comic book adaptations. The Welsh actor gained recognition through projects like The Gentlemen and The Return, along with short films Yellowbird and Hireth. TV audiences may know him from White Lines and Suspicion.
