Following the releases of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, not all of the experts at CD Projekt RED remained with the company. Some chose to embark on a new journey with The Blood of Dawnwalker.
The Blood of Dawnwalker has recently been unveiled. This exciting new game is being crafted by Rebel Wolves studio, which was established by a veteran from CD Projekt RED.
Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, the driving force behind Rebel Wolves, shared his reasons for leaving CDPR. Here are the key points:
"I wanted to pursue a new path with my friends, which led me to found Rebel Wolves. We share a deep passion for role-playing games and their rich history. However, I believe that the traditional RPG mechanics can be further evolved and expanded. We've brainstormed some innovative ideas that would be challenging to convince any large corporation to adopt, especially when working with brand-new intellectual property. We realized that to bring these ideas to life, we needed to start our own studio. Since we're working on some groundbreaking solutions, there's a certain level of risk involved. In contrast to large studios, where processes can be more complicated, our studio thrives on direct communication and strong interpersonal relationships. I believe a smaller team can achieve more because it's easier to communicate the vision and discuss ideas. It's simpler to feel the 'creative fire' and create something truly unique."
