Darkhold Battle Pass Introduced in Marvel Rivals Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls Battle Pass Unveiled

NetEase Games has dropped a new trailer showcasing the Darkhold Battle Pass for Marvel Rivals' inaugural season, "Eternal Night Falls." This season plunges players into a gothic atmosphere dominated by Dracula, with Doctor Doom taking a temporary backseat. The Fantastic Four lead the charge against Dracula's forces after Doctor Strange falls victim to a cunning trap. Season 1 launches January 10th at 1 AM PST.

The Battle Pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers a wealth of rewards. Completion grants players 600 Lattice and 600 Units, usable for future cosmetic purchases or battle passes. Ten exclusive skins headline the rewards, alongside sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. A key feature is the non-expiring nature of the pass, allowing players to complete it at their own pace.

The trailer highlights several standout skins: Magneto's King Magnus attire (inspired by House of M), Rocket Raccoon's Western-themed bounty hunter look, and Iron Man's Dark Souls-esque golden armor. Peni Parker sports a vibrant blue and white suit, while Namor dons a green costume accented with gold.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass Skins:

  • Loki - All-Butcher
  • Moon Knight - Blood Moon Knight
  • Rocket Raccoon - Bounty Hunter
  • Peni Parker - Blue Tarantula
  • Magneto - King Magnus
  • Namor - Savage Sub-Mariner
  • Iron Man - Blood Edge Armor
  • Adam Warlock - Blood Soul
  • Scarlet Witch - Emporium Matron
  • Wolverine - Blood Berserker

The season's dark aesthetic is evident throughout. Wolverine's skin evokes Van Helsing, and the new maps feature a blood moon casting its ominous glow over New York City. Loki's All-Butcher skin is sinister in its dark green and black design, while Moon Knight's black and white contrast is striking. Scarlet Witch's signature red and purple dress and Adam Warlock's golden armor with crimson cape complete the gothic theme.

While the battle pass has generated considerable excitement, the absence of Fantastic Four skins has surprised some. Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic debut in Season 1, but their cosmetic options will be available through the in-game shop. Despite this, the anticipation for NetEase Games' next move remains high, given the substantial content arriving with this new season.
