"Crafting Artian Weapons Guide for Monster Hunter Wilds"

By IsaacApr 22,2025

If you're diving into the thrilling world of *Monster Hunter Wilds*, you'll be excited to learn about the new Artian weapons. These late-game treasures offer unparalleled customization, allowing you to craft weapons with the stats and elements you desire. Let's delve into how you can unlock and craft these unique weapons, as well as how to gather the necessary materials.

How to Craft Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds

To begin your journey with Artian weapons, you'll first need to unlock this feature. Progress through the game until you complete the story and unlock High Rank. Then, continue your adventure until you encounter and defeat your first Tempered monster. You'll recognize this formidable foe by the comments from NPCs about its toughness and numerous scars.

After vanquishing this beast, Gemma will approach you to discuss Artian weapons, triggering a tutorial that explains the crafting process. Each weapon type requires three components, and you must have at least one of each to craft a weapon. However, the customization goes much deeper.

Each component comes with a rarity value, an element type, and an Artian bonus. Components must have the same rarity value to be compatible. The elemental effect of your weapon is determined by the element most represented among your components. For example, using two water and one lightning component will result in a water-based weapon. Using three water components will enhance the water infusion, but using three different elements will result in no elemental infusion at all.

The Artian bonus provides either an attack boost or an affinity boost. Attack enhances your weapon's damage output, while affinity increases your critical hit chance. Choose the bonus that aligns with your preferred playstyle. To craft these weapons, you'll need Artian materials.

How to Get Artian Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds

Obtaining Artian materials is straightforward: hunt Tempered monsters in High Rank. Once you've defeated your first Tempered monster, you'll start encountering one or two of these in each area. You'll receive notifications when a Tempered monster is nearby, and they're easily identifiable on the map by their blue outline.

Defeating or capturing a Tempered monster will reward you with Artian parts, which you can find among the main mission rewards and decorations. As your hunter rank increases, the rarity of these parts will also increase, naturally progressing as you do. While there's no strict correlation between the monster you hunt and the types of Artian drops you receive, you can focus on hunting the monsters you enjoy fighting or need parts from for other weapons or armor pieces.
