Mattel163 enhances accessibility in its mobile card games with the Beyond Colors update. This update introduces colorblind-friendly decks to Phase 10: World Tour, Uno! Mobile, and Skip-Bo Mobile.
Instead of relying on traditional colors, the new decks utilize simple shapes – squares, triangles, circles, and stars – to clearly represent each card's color. This allows players with colorblindness to easily distinguish between cards.
The developer collaborated with colorblind gamers to create these inclusive decks, ensuring consistent symbols across all three games. Activating the Beyond Colors deck is simple: access your in-game account settings via your avatar and select the Beyond Colors deck under card theme options.
This initiative aims to broaden accessibility for the estimated 300 million colorblind individuals worldwide. Mattel163 is committed to inclusivity, aiming for 80% of its game portfolio to be colorblind-accessible by 2025.
Uno! Mobile, Skip-Bo Mobile, and Phase 10: World Tour are available on the App Store and Google Play. For more information on Mattel163 and the Beyond Colors update, visit their official website or follow them on Facebook.
