Clash Royale introduces Retro Royale mode, blending new and old elements.

By MatthewApr 09,2025

Supercell is taking Clash Royale back to its roots with the introduction of the new Retro Royale Mode, set to launch from March 12th to March 26th. This nostalgic update brings players back to the game's 2017 launch, including the original meta and cards. As you dive into this limited-time event, you'll have the chance to compete on the Retro Ladder, choosing from a curated selection of 80 cards.

Climb the 30-step ladder to earn exciting rewards such as Gold and Season Tokens. The competition intensifies as you progress, and once you hit the Competitive League, your starting rank will be determined by your progress on the Trophy Road. From there, it's all about showcasing your skills and climbing the leaderboard based on your Retro Royale performance.

It's a fascinating move by Supercell, especially following their recent decision to remove Troop Training times from Clash of Clans. While they're known for keeping their games fresh, this retro mode taps into the power of nostalgia. With enticing rewards on the table, it's no wonder fans are eager to jump in and experience the thrill of the past.

And don't forget, if you participate in both the Retro Ladder and the Competitive League at least once, you'll earn a special badge for each. It's a great incentive to engage with this unique mode.
