Call of Duty Leak Hints at Major Announcement on January 28

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Arrives January 28th

Treyarch Studios has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. This marks the end of Season 1, a remarkably long 75-day run, making it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.

While Black Ops 6 enjoyed a record-breaking launch, player numbers have recently dipped. Speculation points to ongoing issues with cheating in Ranked Play and persistent server problems as contributing factors. The community anticipates that Season 2's new content and potential improvements will revitalize the game's player base.

Season 2 Launch Confirmed

The Season 2 launch date was revealed in a recent update addressing Zombies mode issues. While specific details remain under wraps, Treyarch promises a full reveal in a forthcoming blog post.

Season 1 delivered a substantial content update, including new multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and events, alongside a major overhaul for Warzone, introducing a new movement system, weaponry, gameplay updates, and the Area-99 Resurgence map. The season also saw the return of beloved maps like Nuketown and Hacienda.

Looking Ahead to Season 2

Although specifics are scarce, Treyarch has hinted at more classic map remasters for Season 2. While prioritizing original content, Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie previously stated that no Black Ops map is excluded from potential remastering. The anticipation for these remasters, along with other unannounced additions, is high among players.
