Treyarch is developing a much-requested in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6's launch, disappointing many players. While a release date remains unannounced, its arrival is anticipated with the upcoming Season 2 update later this month.
A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes across Multiplayer and Zombies modes. Multiplayer saw UI and audio improvements, plus increased XP rewards for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Significantly, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from January 3rd, removing extended round times and zombie spawn delays in Directed Mode following player feedback.
Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed
Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding to a fan inquiry. The feature's popularity in Modern Warfare 3 fueled anticipation for its inclusion in Black Ops 6. Its implementation will significantly benefit players pursuing Mastery camos, providing real-time challenge progress tracking within the game's UI. This will eliminate the need to check progress only at the end of matches.
Additional Zombies Improvement in Development
In another Twitter response, Treyarch confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes. This addresses player frustration with needing to constantly adjust HUD settings when switching between game modes.
The upcoming Season 2 update promises significant improvements to the Black Ops 6 experience, addressing player concerns and enhancing gameplay.
